Our skin care range

Natural Face Aesthetics takes skin care seriously. We are proud to be an ARAUK (Acne and Rosacea Association UK) accredited skin clinic. We work closely with SkinMed and only use professional clinic only products.

The most common skin conditions that we treat are: acne, rosacea, pigmentation and ageing.

Acne

Acne can affect people at many stages of adult life – it’s not just a problem for teenagers. Changes in the skin can have a dramatic effect on confidence and self-esteem so it’s important to treat the skin with high-quality treatments and products to effectively tackle all the underlying issues. Diet and a suitable skin care routine is imperative to controlling acne. Acne scarring in acne can be permanent unless it is treated and can cause considerable psychological distress to the sufferer. Some clients feel that the scarring is worse than the acne.

You may also need to be referred to your GP or a dermatologist if you need prescription medications. You will be advised of this at your consultation.

Our most commonly performed treatments for acne are:

  • Appropriate skin care regime
  • Enerpeel salicylic acid chemical peel
  • Micro-needling.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a long-term skin disorder with inflammation of the blood vessels and skin, which causes the skin to redden on the cheeks, nose and sometime the forehead and chin. In the early stages, the skin redness may appear as periodic blushing attacks, but as the condition progresses, spots may appear and blood vessels under the skin surface may become abnormally enlarged, appearing as visible thin red lines on the surface of the skin.

The true cause of rosacea is still unknown. Numerous suggestions have been put forward, but it now seems likely that there is no single cause and it is probably due to a variety of factors including heredity, skin colour and structure.

Like many other skin conditions, rosacea is not life threatening. However, because of the affect it has on appearance, it can be very distressing and embarrassing. Many people with facial redness go through life not knowing what it is, that it can be treated or even being aware that without treatment it is likely to get steadily worse.

You may also need to be referred to your GP or a dermatologist if you need prescription medications. You will be advised of this at your consultation.

Our most commonly performed treatments for rosacea are:

  • Appropriate skin care regime
  • Enerpeel mandelic acid chemical peel

Pigmentation

Most pigmentary disorders are associated with excess melanin, which is a brown pigment produced in the skin by special cells called melanocytes. Under the influence of sunlight (UV) and hormonal factors, melanin levels can become uneven across the skin, resulting in blotchiness, brown spots, and more seriously, cancer.

You may also need to be referred to your GP or a dermatologist if you need prescription medications. You will be advised of this at your consultation.

Our most commonly performed treatments for pigmentation are:

  • Appropriate skin care regime
  • Enerpeel Jessners chemical peel
  • Micro-needling

Anti-ageing

Before we get the appearance of actual wrinkles, we see the start of what are ‘fine lines’. These are caused by the natural breakdown of collagen and elastin in our skin plus the years of exposure to the harmful UV rays from the sun. fine lines first tend to emerge around the eyes, forehead and mouth – as they are the result of the muscles we use most for expression.

Our most commonly performed treatments for anti-aging are:

  • Appropriate skin care regime
  • Enerpeel mandelic acid or Jessners chemical peel
  • Micro-needling
